Industrial-grade UPVC piping ensures long-term, low-maintenance operation for one of China’s key energy infrastructure projects.
In 2005, the Yandang brand was selected to construct the critical circulating water and drainage network for Zheneng Yueqing Power Plant, a major energy base operated by Zhejiang Energy Group (Zheneng). This project demanded exceptional durability for a system operating under continuous, year-round load.
The Challenge
Power plant circulating water systems involve massive flow volumes and constant exposure to raw water. Traditional metal pipes face severe corrosion and scaling, leading to reduced efficiency and high maintenance costs. The project required a solution with high structural rigidity, anti-scaling properties, and decades of design life.
Yandang Solution
Yandang deployed its Industrial-Grade UPVC Pipes and Fittings, offering distinct advantages over conventional materials:
• High Physical Strength — Withstanding external loads and internal pressure without deformation.
• Water Corrosion & Scale Resistance — Ensuring smooth inner walls that prevent biofilm and scale buildup.
• Simplified Installation — Lightweight and easy to joint, significantly reducing construction time and cost.
The system covers critical applications including cooling water circulation, plant process water supply, and rainwater discharge.
Results & Impact
Since commissioning nearly two decades ago, the Yandang piping system has delivered stable, trouble-free performance with minimal maintenance requirements. This project stands as a benchmark for thermal, hydro, and nuclear power infrastructure, proving that Yandang’s full-series pipes are engineered for the most demanding utility applications.
